A band of storms developed during the morning inland of Canberra and amazingly, they moved and propagated all the way up into SE Qld! A very nice shelf cloud was the feature, as was the 20-40mm that fell.

Another fantastic day! A lovely supercell happened to move right over my house with hail over 2cm. Another storm followed with some solid rainfall. This on a day when Lismore (south of the border) got hit hard by tennis ball hail.

A big day! High instability and great shear combined for some severe storms in the region. The 'best' stuff stayed south or near the NSW border however.

I took the cam to a family picnic at Ipswich and managed to score a rather exciting storm! CGs became frequent, winds gusted to about 40kn and hail to 2cm fell in my location.

Some light early rain helped get some moisture back into SE Qld, and in the afternoon, some thunderstorms developed. One particular storm (in last few pics) was a supercell and tracked E to NE for several hours.

Storms formed near Tamborine before a stronger storm broke off and moved NNE into the Logan area before weakening quickly. Fairly nasty roof and tree damage occurred in the Logan Village area. Just three images.
